Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking some important steps for their eldest son, Prince George, as he is set to mark his transition into royal duties as ‘King in-training’.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have been preparing their son to take on future royal duties with a few public appearances over the years so the young royal can get used to of the attention.

However, the latest appearance of George at the Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance alongside his mother, indicated a major transformation. George had been filling in for his father Prince William and royal author Robert Jobson suggested that this is the beginning of a revolution for the royal family.

Robert praised Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’s eldest brother as he stood “straight, alert, absorbing every detail” despite being at the tender age of 12.

“His public appearances are few but deliberate – a page of honour at the coronation, now a poised presence for Remembrance,” he explained in Hello! column.

“He learns by watching: respect, patience, composure. This is the quiet royal revolution. A smaller monarchy, but greater in purpose. Less distant, more human,” he continued. “Relevance and relatability sustain the Crown.”

The expert pointed out that the Prince and Princess of Wales are responsible for this silent transition as they have strictly set the terms of what the new generation of royals will look like. The core values will be “calm, capable, quietly transformative” for them.

Meanwhile, King Charles is aware that a change has begun and William and Kate are shaping the next age of the royal family like never before with “open, modern, human and with a loving dynamic on show”.
