WhatsApp is working to develop a new feature to enhance user control over incoming messages and is introducing a ‘Requests’ folder to help users manage how they receive messages from unknown contacts.
The new feature is in the development phase and will enable users to manage how they receive messages from unknown individuals.
The prime motive of the upcoming feature is to provide users authority over their chat connections within the application.
However, in order to introduce a new private setting, WhatsApp is efficiently working to provide users with options to classify messages from unfamiliar contacts without completely blocking them.
In this connection, the new setting titled, “Who can message me” will specifically offer two main alternatives for users.
The primary choice, “Everyone” retains the current default setting, where messages from any unknown contact appear directly in the chat list.
On the contrary, the second option, “My Contacts”, enhances control by directing messages from non-contacts into a separate folder named “Requests”.
The new feature represents a significant move to enhance user safety and is part of WhatsApp's continuous commitment to boost user satisfaction by offering new developments and personalized communication.
