When Alan Carr was crowned the winner of Celebrity's Traitors on Thursday night, he initially feared being labelled 'the most hated man in Britain.'

In a surprising twist, the comedian successfully convinced Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga that he was a Faithful, allowing him as a Traitor-to claim the entire £87,500 prize shot.

Despite his scheming, Alan, who viewers have described as both the 'best and worst Traitor ever,' has won over the nation with his hilarious antics including openly laughing at banishments and struggling to maintain a straight face while claiming to be Faithful.

Although Alan hasn't been as prominent on television in recent years, he now seems poised for a major career resurgence.

2026 is shaping up to be the year of the Alan Carr- naissance, with plans for another season of his BBC travel show alongside Amanda Holden, hosting a Channel 4 competition series with Susie Dent, and competing on Amazon Prime's LOL: Last One Laughing UK.

His renewed star power has even sparked rumours of him taking on the biggest job on TV: hosting Strictly Come Dancing following the departures of Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly last month.

There are also whispers that he could be offered a new chat show, nearly eight years after Chatty Man was cancelled due to low ratings.

With multiple networks vying for his talent, Alan Carr appears set to reclaim the same high-profile television presence he enjoyed throughout the 20002 and 2010s.
