The latest celebrity to join the American singer-songwriter’s viral concert moment is a One Direction famed singer.
Bringing out Niall Horan as his latest Sally, Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury, sent fans into a frenzy during his sold-out London show.
On Tuesday, November 4, the History hitmaker joined the former rapper at the Eventim Apollo, also known as the Hammersmith Apollo, stage belting out lyrics from the latter’s song, Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.
Fan-made videos quickly took the internet by storm with fans of both musicians flooding X (formerly Twitter) with enthusiastic reactions.
One user raved, "The moment Niall Horan appeared as Sally [crying emoji] ROLE MODEL’s sold-out London show just made history."
"This has got to be the craziest crossover ever," another remarked, followed by a third, writing, "Niall Horan as sally for sold-out night 2 is elite level unexpected hype. what a moment [fire emoji]."
A fourth gushed, "What a moment! [sparkle emoji] Niall as Sally—London nights just got legendary! [shining star and musical note emoji]."
One clip showed the duo setting the stage on fire as the crowd roared with excitement.
When the two hugged at the end of their performance, the audience erupted into deafening cheers, shouting at the top of their lungs.
For the unversed, Sally is a character from Role Model’s song Sally, When the Wine Runs Out from his 2024 album Kansas Anymore.
During the performance of this song, a celebrity or an enthusiastic fan is chosen to play the role of Sally, dancing onstage with the 28-year-old singer as part of a concert gimmick that has become a viral phenomenon.
Before Horan’s surprise appearance Role Model has had many famous celebrities play Sally, including Kate Hudson, Hilary Duff and Natalie Portman.
