King Charles III finally snapped after years of Andrew attempting to silence the monarchy from speaking out against Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has reportedly “refused to sign off royal tributes to Jeffrey Epstein victims” for years, according to The Times via the Daily Mail.
The outlet reports that the disgraced younger brother of King Charles repeatedly blocked Palace statements that expressed support for the Epstein’s victims since at least 2019 — when his disastrous Newsnight interview forced him to resign from public royal life.
But now, the King “has lost his patience,” issuing not only his most scathing statement about Andrew but also speaking out against sexual abuse — a cause both Queen Camilla and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh have long been publicly tied to.
“There has long been a sense from the family that the voices of the victims needed to be heard,” a friend of the King and Queen told The Times. “Now, the King has lost his patience: you can see this statement is no longer a statement by committee, it’s a statement from the King,” they said.”
On Thursday, October 30, a statement from Buckingham Palace sealed Andrew’s fate, with King Charles announcing the removal of the “Style Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”
Moreover, “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
Meanwhile, Andrew continues to “vigorously deny the accusations against” him, as reiterated in his October 17 statement relinquishing his Duke of York title.
However, Charles and Camilla “have felt the public anger and they have acted,” another insider told The Times.
