King Charles keeps calm at Sandringham after 'appalled' reaction to knife horror
King Charles wipes brother’s slate and titles
King Charles appeared the picture of calm on Sunday morning as he arrived at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham just days after making one of the most decisive moves of his reign.
Dressed smartly in a tailored suit and tan overcoat, the monarch carried an umbrella as he stepped out for the service on November 2, his second public outing since dropping the royal hammer on his disgraced brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
The King’s quiet morning at church followed a turbccculent week in the monarchy.
On October 30th, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Charles had “initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew” meaning the former Duke of York will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
A day later, the King was seen driving himself around his Sandringham estate, the very estate where, according to HELLO!, he is expected to start his new, title free life after being evicted from Royal Lodge at Windsor Home Park.
Calm, composed, and clearly in control, Charles’ weekend appearance sent a quiet but unmistakable message: the monarch is standing firm, come scandal or storm.
The King has broken his silence after a horrifying knife attack left ten people injured on a train bound for London King’s Cross an incident that has shaken the nation.
The violent attack unfolded late Friday night, forcing the train to make an emergency stop at Huntingdon Station as chaos erupted onboard.
Cambridgeshire Police confirmed two arrests have been made and assured the public there is “nothing to suggest” the stabbings were linked to terrorism.
A “significant” police presence remained at the station throughout the night as investigators pieced together the harrowing scene.
