Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently confirmed that the company’s ambitious side venture is all set for a major expansion of two new Diner locations in the United States, following the unexpected success of its flagship Los Angeles location.

The rapid expansion of Tesla’s energy business has primarily been underlined as a key long-term growth area for future outcomes.

However, Tesla’s new locations will be constantly packed and offer food for 24 hours a day, every day.

According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the initial Diner location on Santa Monica Boulevard is working well in line with the people's interest in that area.

On the contrary, it features a large screen and a menu by a world-class chef.

It also has high-power public chargers to immediately recharge a vehicle’s battery, which ultimately makes long-distance time more feasible by alleviating the time spent charging.

It offers a perfect stop for those who want to relax, to eat, and to find entertainment while waiting for a quick charge.

Tesla has not revealed details on the overall success of the restaurant, but a recent graphic in its Q3 Supercharging report states that it sold approximately 50,000 burgers at the Diner in Q3, averaging roughly 715 each day.

Musk is now evaluating potential new locations that are significant to Tesla, including Austin and Palo Alto.

It took several years to get the Diner developed and completed, and it was officially launched to the public at 4:20 p.m. local time on July 21.

Nonetheless, Musk first offered the idea of a drive-in Supercharger Diner back in December 2018, and the new move will be a fundamental fulfillment of the company’s long-term goal to transition the world to sustainable energy.
