Alicia Silverstone wants to slow down amid busy work schedule: Here’s why
‘Clueless star to start a new chapter in life as she near her 50th birthday
Alicia Silverstone has recently entered a new chapter in her life as she approaches her 50th birthday.
The Clueless actress confesses she is more in her “domestic life” era in a new interview with PEOPLE.
“I want to do more old-lady things — read in my garden,” says Pretty Thing actress.
Alicia clarifies, “I can't say that's ‘old lady.’ I've wanted to do that since I was 20… I'm very domestic, I suppose.”
Batman & Robin actress opens up that she wants to slow down and “carve out time” in life amid her busy work schedule.
“I burn the candle so hard,” states the Bugonia actress.
Alicia continues, “What I guess I'm always trying to figure out is, ‘What do normal people do? How much rest do normal people get?’”
“And then try to make that implemented into my life because I work so much, so crazy, I'm always traveling. I'm a machine,” adds The Crush actress.
Elsewhere in the interview, Alicia, who shares 14-year-old son with former husband Christopher Jarecki, mentions that this year has been hectic for her as she was busy filming intense Bugonia scenes and then conducted auditioning actors and reviewing scripts for Irish Blood because she’s a producer as well.
“I was kept a little bit torn between everything so I wasn't as relaxed. I was more pulled in a lot of directions,” explains The Babysitter star.
Therefore, at present, Alicia is enjoying her time and even “loving the mornings where I wake up and get my son off to school, make his breakfast and his lunch”.
“Then I go on a walk with my dog, and then I work all day. It's still busy, but it's not insanity,” points out the actress and producer.
