Sarah Ferguson hits back at Adelaide Cottage demands made to King Charles
Details of offer made behind closed doors to Sarah Ferguson revealed as Royal Lodge eviction nears
Sarah Ferguson, who had been relishing her slow return to the royal family, may not have expected to be unceremoniously ousted as her the bulk of her lies caught up to her.
The former Duchess of York, who had continued to use her royal title even after her divorce with Prince Andrew, is now on the verge of being left homeless as the royals are set to announce their final decision on the Royal Lodge.
Prince Andrew had a 75-year lease on the 30-room Windsor property and Fergie had been living there with them for years. Now as the eviction looms, there are speculation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former home, Frogmore Cottage is being prepared for Andrew to move in.
Moreover, reports also claimed that Fergie had demanded a separate home this time, preferably Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Adelaide Cottage since the Wales family is moving into Forest Lodge next week.
Critics have slammed the former York couple for their “unfair demands” to the King especially given the nature of their scandals and association with convicted paedophile Jeffery Epstein.
Now, a source close to Fergie has dismissed claims that she made such demands to the monarch. Friends close to her clarified, “No demands have been made.”
Daily Mail’s Rebecca English cited the insider that it was an “option put forward by the ‘other side’ and at an early stage” in negotiations.
They stated that it is uncertain if the offer is still on the table. Although the suggestion that Fergie and Andrew have “demanded” one for each is “misrepresentative of the truth” but noted that “people have been trying to come up with solutions”.
