Katy Perry 'flattered' by Justin Trudeau's attention as relationship deepens

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s romance appears to be blossoming.

After making their first public appearance together on October 25, as per People magazine, Perry revealed that the singer, 41, is “flattered” by Trudeau’s efforts to spend time with her while she continues her Lifetimes World Tour, which runs through December.

“She’s focused on her tour, and Justin has made a real effort to meet her where she is — literally,” the source shared. “She’s flattered. He’s shown that he’s committed and really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear that he values the connection, and so does Katy. She’s in a great place.”

The pair first sparked romance rumours back in July and fueled speculation earlier this month when they were spotted kissing aboard a yacht near Santa Barbara. According to the insider, Perry didn’t expect the relationship but is embracing the surprise.

“Dating Justin is something she never saw coming, but she’s really enjoying this surprising life twist,” the source added, noting that Trudeau, 53, flew to Paris to celebrate Perry’s birthday on October 25 — “and she loved it.”

Another source close to Perry said that despite their demanding schedules, the couple are prioritising each other. “They both have busy schedules but make time for each other and have a really strong connection,” the source said.

“Katy didn’t expect to fall for somebody so soon, but Justin checks all the boxes. He has a great sense of humor, he’s charming and treats her with respect.”

The two were photographed holding hands and smiling as they attended a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris on Perry’s birthday.

The singer’s new romance comes months after her split from ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, following their nine-year on-and-off relationship. 

Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
