Queen Camilla rejects Sarah Ferguson's book collaboration?
Fergie will no longer hold the royal rank of Duchess and will simply be known as Sarah Ferguson
The past few days have been quite tough for the royal family following the highly publicised scandal involving Prince Andrew.
In a week that has seen Andrew give up all his titles, including the Duke of York in the wake of serious allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein, his ex-wife, Ferguson, has faced a similar setback.
Fergie will no longer hold the royal rank of Duchess and will simply be known as Sarah Ferguson.
Yet, according to the Daily Mail's Ephraim Hardcastle, this isn't the only Royal 'snub' that she has faced.
He claimed that Ferguson, who reportedly view herself as 'quite the lady of letters,' was rebuffed by Queen Camilla after suggesting a collaboration on her forthcoming children's book, Flora & Fern: Kindness Along The Way.
He wrote: 'Before being sacked as Duchess, Sarah Ferguson suffered a monumental snub from Queen Camilla.'
The journalist added: 'Well-read Camilla founded her hugely successful Reading Room in 2021 to promote literature and encourage reading. None of Sarah's literary gems have ever appeared on the Queen's recommended reading lists.
'With the imminent release of her latest, Flora & Fern: Kindness Along The Way, Fergie suggested a collaboration between her and Queen Camilla. Her proposal was firmly rebuffed.'
However, a spokesperson for Ferguson, speaking to the Mirror, denied any claims of a snub from Camilla, or that a collaboration had ever been proposed.
For context, Prince Andrew's finances are also under scrutiny after it was revealed on Monday that he has been living at Royal Lodge without paying rent.
He has reportedly been paying only a minimal fee for his 30-room Windsor residence for more than two decades.
New reports suggest that Andrew has been covering only his water bills from 'time to time.'
