Snapchat not suspending accounts in 2025-Here's what really going on
Snapchat will continue to exist
A fake Snapchat warning message about account suspension is circulating on social media amid the app’s recent outage.
Snapchat was one of the several applications and websites affected by the AMS outage on Monday.
Users were unable to log in, and send messages, or see the locations of their friends on the applications.
A fake message claiming that accounts will be suspended has been disseminated on social media.
The message reads, “Official warning from Snapchat management starting tonight, all accounts that don’t send this message to 20 people within 2 hours will be automatically suspended.”
Users have been exchanging comments whether the message is true on X.
Snapchat has not issued any official statement or policy revision related to this claim, and users are advised not to circulate such messages and report them as spam.
Meanwhile, Snapchat has only posted one statement about the outage issue, and it reads: “We are aware that some Snapchatters are having issues-hang tight as we are looking into it.”
Amazon Web Services told users that it was scrutinizing errors with its service related to content and security rules. This is the reason some users are seeing content suspensions.
The accounts have been gradually restored. Snapchat is not shutting down; it remains a stable and developing platform that continues to impress users with intriguing features.
