Julianne Moore shares her trainer’s unique tip to stay fit in 60s
Julianne Moore gets candid about her mental and physical wellbeing
Julianne Moore has recently given her trainer’s unique tip to stay fit throughout life.
The Echo Valley actress revealed to PEOPLE that she had a trainer who would tell her to “take the opportunity to walk backwards”.
Therefore, Julianne often follows her trainer advise and every once in a while, she “goes ahead and walk backwards”.
Hannibal actress noted that this exercise is “so good for your body and brain”.
“Anything that gets you out of your normal routine — meeting new people, learning a new game, a language — all of those things are things that kind of wake you up,” explained the 64-year-old.
Julianne told the outlet, “I feel more alive when I'm doing that. It just makes everything better to learn something new, or even silly things.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the Sirens actress opened up that she began to take her health seriously as she’s started growing older and wiser.
“When you're younger, you don't think about much at all. I mean, you really feel impervious to everything, and to anything health and wellness related,” she pointed out.
However, Julianne remarked, “I think, the more life you've accrued, the more precious it becomes.”
The Oscar winner, who shares two kids with husband Bart Freundlich, added she prioritises herself and takes care of her health.
“You tend to take things for granted until something happens, but you also learn about the things that will ensure that you can continue to do the stuff that you care about,” continued the actress.
Julianne added, “Exercising regularly, eating well, sleeping — all of those things help you perform to the best of your ability.”
