Prince Harry 'gifts' Meghan Markle a 'Queen' ring linked to Diana
The Duchess of Sussex debuts dazzling ring which appears to be a birthday gift from Prince Harry
Meghan Markle will always be a queen in Prince Harry’s eyes, even if the couple lost their royal titles.
Over the weekend, the Duchess of Sussex turned heads at Kevin Costner’s One805LIVE! charity concert in Santa Barbara, where she debuted a dazzling new piece from Los Angeles jeweller Logan Hollowell.
Sporting it on her right hand, the 44-year-old showcased the Queen Water Drop Moonstone Ring, a 14-karat gold piece with a pear-shaped moonstone framed by white diamonds, retailing for $4,195.
According to the jeweller, the moonstone is thought to “bring good fortune, bring success in love as well as business matters.” The brand also notes the gem is linked to the goddess Diana — a detail some see as a subtle tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother.
Meghan has long been a fan of Hollowell’s designs, often wearing pieces with celestial and symbolic themes. She’s previously sported constellation necklaces honouring Archie and Lilibet, as well as a $26,995 diamond tennis necklace.
Due to the layers of symbolism and Meghan’s love for Hollowell, it is likely that the ring was a well-thought-out birthday present from Harry to Meghan, who marked her birthday last month (August 4).
At the event, the former Suits actress styled the new sparkler with a navy Carolina Herrera dress and stacked Cartier jewellery, letting her ring shine.
