ASAP Rocky makes shocking admission about Jay-Z
Rihanna's partner ASAP Rocky leans on Beyonce's husband Jay-Z in his toughest times?
ASAP Rocky may have just dropped a surprising hint about who he considers his personal therapist and it’s none other than music mogul Jay-Z.
In a recent interview the rapper, who recently welcomed his third child with Rihanna, opened up about his deep skepticism toward therapy.
He didn’t hold back while comparing therapists to psychics and implying that both professions offer advice without real connection or understanding.
"I look at it like, yo, if you don’t share the same experiences what’s the point of me telling a stranger my business for an hour straight, for them to just say, ‘Okay, well, how did that make you feel?'" the U.S. born artist explained.
His remarks highlight a broader discomfort with therapy and emotional vulnerability, especially with people who haven't lived through what he has.
However, the conversation took a turn when the interviewer brought up the growing need for more Black therapists in the field. Rocky responded with an unexpected name: Jay-Z.
"I think Jay-Z is a Black therapist," he told the interviewer from Elle magazine. "A lot of people come to him with their problems."
The comments came during a conversation about Rocky’s latest film, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, which he described as "an anxiety attack" due to its fast pace and heavy emotional content.
The film, he hinted, draws deeply from personal struggles, making his reflections on mental health and trusted confidants all the more revealing.
