Meghan Markle may have cut ties with her former best friend Jessica Mulroney, but she still seems to hold power over her.
The stylist, who became besties with Meghan during the filming of hit drama Suits, was rumoured to write a tell-all memoir, which would also feature some never-before-revealed details about the Duchess of Sussex.
Even though Jessica is still upset about the fallout, she dismissed the claims of writing a memoir, telling DailyMail “absolutely not”. She also noted that she would “never” expose details about her friendship with Prince Harry’s wife.
Although, a new report suggests that it’s not just loyalty but fears of Meghan’s influence and power which has held Jessica back from signing a lucrative book deal. A report revealed that the stylist is being offered over a million dollars for the memoir.
“Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada,” a source told the outlet. “I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows].”
The insider noted that Meghan is “still pretty powerful and they have a lot of people in common”.
Jessica, who was one of the brides at the royal wedding in 2018, was iced out by the Duchess after she made ‘racist’ remarks on Black Lives Matter causing major backlash.
The insider said, “She is probably biding her time. She lost her career but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more.”
