King Charles makes first statement after Windsor Castle incident

King Charles' office issued its first statement following a shocking incident that occurred at Windsor Castle upon Donald Trump's arrival in the UK.

On September 17, Buckingham Palace shared a post on social media highlighting the American presidents who have made official state visits to the UK in the past.

The King's spokesperson revealed, "President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will arrive in Windsor later today to begin their State Visit."

The message further reads, "For more than a century, successive monarchs have welcomed American presidents to the United Kingdom, celebrating the special bonds between the UK and the USA, and offering a warm British welcome full of tradition and pageantry."

The new post by the royal family shared that President Woodrow Wilson made the first official visit to the UK.

Moreover, it also featured details related to John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan and Trump's historic engagements with the royals.

Notably, President Donald Trump, who is fond of the royal family, showered praise on Queen Elizabeth II when he visited the UK in 2019.

"Melania and I will always cherish our time together with the Queen, and never forget Her Majesty's generous friendship, great wisdom, and wonderful sense of humour. What a grand and beautiful lady she was - there was nobody like her!" the political figure said at the time.

It is pertinent to mention that the new statement from King Charles was made public after protesters projected images of Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew onto the outside walls of Windsor Castle.
