Kanye West ordered to pay $52000 in 'Donda' copyright dispute
Kanye West refuses to cooperate in 'Donda' copyright case
Kanye West’s copyright dispute involving his album Donda has reached an earlier decision after his team refused to cooperate amid ongoing legal battle.
For the unversed, a company named "Artist Revenue Advocates", LLC filed a lawsuit against the 48-year-old over copyright infringement.
Reports say that West gave credit to the songwriters and producer, who worked on two songs namely Moon and Hurricane of his 2021 album, but he never waited for their approval to use their music.
According to the music creators, the soundtracks produced $15 million in profits.
Even though, the Stronger singer and his legal team tried to ruin all 65 attempts to obtain important documents, but the complexity eventually forced the court to intervene in the matter, reported Allhiphop.com.
But his non-cooperative behaviour has pushed the court to come to an early decision.
The federal judge has ordered Kanye and his companies to pay the set amount of attorney fees worth $52, 015 tied to the legal dispute over Donda.
The latest update comes a day after it was reported that the rapper has clashed with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian over their daughter North’s bold fashion choices.
North, in a latest outing with mother Kim in Italy, opted for tangled micromini and strapless corset-style top.
As per the sources, the Heartless singer was not comfortable with the outfit choice. Even though, his now-wife Bianca Censori showed up at this year’s Grammys wearing nothing.
National Enquirer reported, “He also encouraged Kim to push the envelope with sexy, barely there fashion choices the entire time they were together.”
