Princess Kate has given a charming glimpse into her family’s summer, revealing that her three children kept busy with arts and crafts during the school holidays.

Kate shared the wholesome detail while visiting the Women’s Institute in Sunningdale, Ascot on Monday, as she and Prince William marked the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

Conversation soon turned to family life, with William describing Prince Louis as a “character” who “likes to run his sister around.”

Meanwhile the Princess delighted members by confessing that she and her children had been “crafting in every corner of the house” over the summer break.

She also spoke about her passion for beekeeping and the importance of creativity and community, themes that have long been at the heart of her work.

With a degree in Art History from the University of St Andrews, Kate’s artistic flair is well known and it seems her children are following in her footsteps.

Earlier this year, she proudly shared a series of portraits drawn by George, Charlotte and Louis as part of her early years initiative on child development.

“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and most importantly having lots of fun together,” Kate wrote.

That same spirit was on display during a January visit to Ty Hafan, a children’s hospice in Sully near Cardiff.

While meeting families, Kate didn’t hesitate to join in the fun, letting one youngster paint her hand bright red before she proudly pressed it onto a communal print.
