Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande went head-to-head in a tight race for top honours at the MTV VMAs 2025
Lady Gaga entered the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards with a leading 12 nominations and walked away with four wins, making her the night’s top award-winner.
On Sunday night, September 7, the American singer, songwriter and actress took a break from her The MAYHEM Ball tour to grace the VMAs that were held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
At the biggest music awards night, Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, won four awards, with Artist of the Year being the top honor.

Best Collaboration with Bruno Mars for Die With a Smile
After winning the Artist of the Year award, the A Star is Born actress rushed to get back to her show at Madison Square Garden.
Notably, the Bad Romance hitmaker received 12 nominations for her album Mayhem and her collaborative single Die With a Smile with Bruno Mars.
