Selena Gomez's mom addresses behavioural issues as her wedding comes near
Selena Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey under fire for her behaviour and poor leadership
Selena Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey is clearing air about disturbing allegations once and for all!
The mother-daughter duo co-founded the mental health company Wondermind in 2021 with Daniella Pierson.
Teefy is now refuting all the rumours swirling about her behaviour and leadership at the company.
In a recent interview with The Cut, the singer’s mother denied allegations that she snorted Ritalin in her office. "Absolutely not," she said when asked about the claim.
Ritalin is a stimulant prescribed to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which Teefey has publicly confirmed she has been diagnosed with.
Wondermind’s most of the staff cited their doubts about Teefey's ability to run the company, citing issues with her leadership style.
Teefey responded, "I started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness. It's unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth."
In May, Forbes reported that Teefey had taken out a loan against her home to pay back Wondermind's outstanding debts.
A source told People magazine that Teefey and Gomez both stepped in to support the company, with Gomez investing millions of dollars over the years.
"Selena has invested millions of dollars over the years into Wondermind to support her mother and their shared passion for mental health," the source said.
