Kate Middleton reduced to tears by Prince Harry heartfelt statement
Prince Harry makes sweet gesture for sister-in-law during life-changing event
Prince Harry, who is anticipated to return to the UK in the next few days, had some special words to say for his beloved sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
Before the tensions between Prince William and Harry created a deep royal rift between the siblings, the Duke of Sussex had a very close bond with the Princess of Wales. It’s unfortunate that the Waleses are no longer speaking to Harry.
However, there have been speculations that a reconciliation between Harry and King Charles may be on the cards, while the jury is still out on the Waleses.
Amid the ongoing reports, royal author Christopher Andersen narrated the sweet moment from William and Kate’s wedding in 2011.
“In his best man’s toast, Harry apologised to Kate ‘for having to marry a bald man’, delivered spot-on impressions of William, ‘cooing down the line at Babykins’ and Kate calling his brother ‘Billy’ and referred to them repeatedly as ‘the dude and the duchess’,” the excerpt read.
The author noted that there were “muffled sobs” when Harry told his brother, “Our mother would be so very proud of you” and people could be heard sighing when Harry said that he “loved Kate like a sister”.
He continued, “At one point, the bride wiped away tears when her newly minted brother-in-law traded smiles with Chelsy [Harry’s then-girlfriend] and admitted that Kate and William’s decade long romance was his ‘inspiration’.”
The author revealed that as the night continued, during one moment Harry put his arms around William and Kate, it was then when the Princess of Wales “began to weep”.
One of the guests shared that “people don’t realise how much Harry and Kate love and help each other,” noting that “it’s key to this whole thing”.
