Prince William honours King Charles choice with meaningful move
Prince William sends key message to the world with his life-changing decision
Prince William followed in the footsteps of his father, King Charles, with a meaningful decision ahead of ascending the throne.
For the unversed, the Prince and Princess of Wales, alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are moving to Forest Lodge from Adelaide Cottage to make it their "forever home."
It has been reported that William will continue to reside in the same house even after he becomes King.
The Prince of Wales seemingly honouring his cancer-stricken father's choice as he also decided to stay in Clarence House, where as Buckingham Palace is his office.
A former royal butler, Grant Harrold, shed light on the ongoing situation, saying, "I’m not even surprised that Charles never moved into Buckingham Palace, because even when I was there, there was talk about him not moving in because he prefers Birkhall, Highgrove or Clarence House. Buckingham Palace is just the office."
As per the Mirror, he shared that William himself is not used to huge castles because his upbringing took place in smaller places.
Grant added, "So I think there’ll be a transition where Windsor becomes the hub of the monarchy, as Forest Lodge is on the Windsor estate, that whole area will become royal HQ."
The well-wisher of the royal family shared that Buckingham Palace will be open for tourists and will become a workplace for William as it's a "landmark of the royal institution."
Notably, as per Grant, the real reason behind William's life-changing decision is his passion project Homewards, as he cannot highlight homelessness issues while staying at giant mansions.
"Living in Forest Lodge will be a lot cheaper than living in Buckingham Palace, and he realises that," he stated.
