Real reason behind Taylor Swift’s engagement announcement date revealed

Taylor Swift has recently revealed why she decided to chose this date to announce her engagement on August 26.

The Cruel Summer singer has reportedly selected the day as a nod to track No. 26 on her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department — The Prophecy.

According to some online fans, the engagement post mentioned that August is month eight of the year, which is basically “a numerical symbol linked to infinity”.

Other fans pointed out that Taylor, who dated Travis Kelce for two years, only chose to reveal her news 13 days after her debut on New Heights podcast.

Another Swifties also opened up that day 26 of the month was preferred to represent the merging of her favourite number — “13 + 13 equates to 26 as two individuals unite”, per US Weekly.

Taylor also found out several reference to the pop star’s lucky number during an August 6 press conference which was staged by Travis on day 13 of the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp.

The NFL star said, “I have been lucky to be here for my 13th year now. I just absolutely love this organisation.”

Meanwhile, the singer announced her engagement with Travis on Instagram with a tongue-in-cheek caption.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she wrote.
