Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend breaks silence on Travis Kelce engagement
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged two years after they started dating
Taylor Swift has finally found her End Game, after having to bid goodbyes to past loves with breakup songs.
The 35-year-old pop superstar sparked a lovely reaction from her ex-boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, who became her friend years after their breakup.
Following the Grammy winner’s engagement announcement with Travis Kelce on Tuesday, Lautner took to Instagram and reposted NFL account’s post, about the couple’s big news.
“I cannot believe this is really happening,” read the caption, with a picture of Swift and Kelce on the field.
The NFL added, “Same.”
The Anti-hero hitmaker and the Twilight star were in a short-lived relationship back on 2009 after they met up on the movie, Valentine’s Day’s set.
Swift wrote her song, Back to December, about their breakup but they reconnected years later and he made a special cameo for the Eras Tour performer’s music video for I Can See You on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
During a July 2023 Eras Tour show, Swift invited Lautner on stage, to celebrate the premiere of the video, and said, “He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video. He and his wife [Taylor Dome] have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name.”
