Prince Harry, Kate Middleton's friendship exposed by royal butler

A former royal butler, Grant Harrold, has come forward to share his insights into the relationship between Prince Harry and Kate Middleton, revealing a close friendship between the two. 

According to Harrold, who served in the royal household from 2004 to 2011, Kate and Harry would often spend time together without Prince William.

Harrold recalls that the pair would go shopping and visit pubs together, showcasing a relaxed and easy rapport between them. “They involved him [Harry],” Harrold said. 

“He used to go out with Kate. William would be away, and Kate and Harry would be off doing stuff together. They’d go shopping together, they’d go to pubs together.” 

This contradicts the public's perception of Harry being left out, with Harrold insisting that Harry was deeply integrated into the lives of his brother and sister-in-law.

Harrold's revelations also shed light on the relationship between Harry, William, and their stepmother, Queen Camilla. Contrary to Harry's claims in his memoir Spare, Harrold describes a warm and affectionate relationship between the four family members. 

“The four of them, I promise you, got on so well,” Harrold said. “And that’s why I don’t understand what Harry’s said, I really don’t understand. Because I saw them. I saw them having dinners together, I saw them having drinks together, I saw them going to parties together.”

Harrold's account directly challenges Harry's version of events, particularly regarding the wedding of King Charles and Camilla. 

While Harry claims he and William begged their father not to marry Camilla, Harrold recalls the brothers decorating their father's car with "Just Married" signs and chasing after it as the newlyweds drove away.
