Meghan Markle uses outdated slang to hype up upcoming 'With Love' premiere
The Duchess of Sussex is promoting the August 26 premiere of 'With Love, Meghan' season two on Netflix
Meghan Markle is making some peculiar choices as she promotes the upcoming season two premiere of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
On Thursday, August 21, the Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram Stories to share a short, slow-motion clip of some thinly sliced potatoes bubbling away in a deep fryer.
“New season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ August 26th on @netflix,” she wrote over the video.
The 44-year-old then added, “Dare I say, ‘It’s all that… and a bag of chips.”
The choice of phrase was noteworthy; while it was clearly a pun on the video’s content, the slang itself is a throwback to the nineties. The phrase is used to describe something exceptional — or “all that” — but is often interpreted the opposite way, as in someone who thinks they’re exceptional but really aren’t.
Still, it’s possible the former Suits actress was dropping hints about what to expect from the new season of her cooking and lifestyle series.
Season two of With Love, Meghan was confirmed earlier this month as Netflix announced that it’s extending its partnership with Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.
Just two days ago, the mom-of-two gave fans another taste of what to expect, sharing another one of her infamous pasta recipes.
This time, she chose homemade preserved lemons as the star of the show, as opposed to her previously viral one-pot pasta with cherry tomatoes and spinach.
“Cooking up more than pasta (with homemade preserved lemons).....so much goodness is coming soon,” she teased in the caption.
