King Charles may have big plans for his niece but Prince William may not be following his father’s vision for the monarchy – a blow to Beatrice’s royal future.
The monarch’s former butler, Grant Harrold, shared that the Prince of Wales, who is already plotting to remove his uncle Prince Andrew’s titles, will hold back on any honours for his cousins.
“The King will be eager to celebrate Princess Beatrice,” Grant, who served Charles at Highgrove from 2004 to 2011, said. “King Charles and Queen Camilla remain close to both Beatrice and Eugenie.”
He noted that Beatrice, who celebrated her 37th birthday on Friday, is “well-liked across the Royal Family and often steps in to support”
About her royal position, William has two major reasons Beatrice won’t be a senior working royal.
“Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” he explained to Express UK.
“They pull ranks when they need the support, and she’s been known to step up. But she has a job and does her own thing. She’s still a valued member of the family.”
He also shared that the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is an expert at handling tensions, especially the amount of scandals that the Duke of York has been embroiled in.
She has maintained a calm reaction in face of crisis, a key tactic used by her late grandmother, late Queen Elizabeth.
“She gets on with William, as well as Harry,” Grant added. “I think she’s been very diplomatic with the brothers and their feud. She'll have been careful to maintain a relationship with both.”
