King Charles' secret weapon, Duchess Sophie, made a notable impact with a key role assigned by the royal family.
The Duchess of Edinburgh's association with The Lighthouse, a charitable organisation helping marginalised and vulnerable members of society, led her to earn praise.
Since 2020, Sophie has made various visits to different sites of the foundation in Woking, Barnsbury and Aldershot.
As per Hello! Magazine, the co-founder of Lighthouse, Erik Jespersen, unveiled the real side of Sophie, sharing that she made meaningful gestures while meeting people during her visits.
He shared, "Obviously we're trying to make it easy for her just to say hello and say a few nice words to people, but she actually is the one who sits down and has deep conversations with people and – you know, 'Forget the schedule, forget the program, I really want to hear their stories.'"
Sophie sat with "homeless clients" and heard their stories, leaving a great impression on them.
Erik said that the mother of two performed each activity with full enthusiasm, whether it was spending time with little babies or planting trees.
"I think she loves it if it's really meaningful, it's not just a token, but that it really makes an impact," the co-founder said about the royal.
"So everything from serving coffee in our social enterprise or serving Christmas dinner or sorting out baby clothes and donations, whatever's helpful. She just wants to get stuck in," Erick stated.
