Princess Anne is showing support to her niece Princess Eugenie’s as new scandals plague the House of York.

The Princess Royal has appeared in a new video shared by Eugenie’s charity Horatio’s Garden after collaborating with them last month.

The sister of King Charles and Prince Andrew visited Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital on July 25 to open a new garden space at the Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Centre. The lush sanctuary marks the eighth Horatio’s Garden since the nonprofit launched in 2013, and is designed to support spinal injury patients and their loved ones.

In a short film released Friday, August 8, Anne was seen touring the grounds with co-founder Dr Olivia Chapple OBE, stopping to speak with patients, guests, NHS staff, and designers Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg.

"We were really proud to welcome HRH The Princess Royal," the charity previously said, adding that Anne also joined a gardening session and planted an Aruncus ‘Horatio’ before unveiling the official plaque.

One young patient, James, said the garden was “incredible,” adding: “Just to be outside, get some fresh air, remove yourself from the hospital environment... It’s been so helpful to me.”

Princess Eugenie, who became patron in 2019, also holds a personal connection to the cause. She underwent surgery for scoliosis at age 12, and recently told The Telegraph: “Nature is so healing; hearing the sound of the birds and running water.”

Meanwhile, her divorced parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson — the Duke and Duchess of York — have been making headlines with the release of a new book by Andrew Lownie, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, out August 14.
