Author Andrew Lownie says 'there are more scandals to emerge' about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson

As Princess Beatrice marks her 37th birthday, her uncle King Charles is being urged to draw a firm line with her branch of the family.

Author Andrew Lownie issued the warning in the August 7 issue of Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential (published a day before Eugenie’s birthday), where he discussed his upcoming book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, out August 14.

A serialisation of the book by the Daily Mail has already alleged a number of scandals involving Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Fergusonan — the Duke and Duchess of York — who share daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

“I would keep the whole York family at a distance,” Lownie declared in the interview, adding, “Fergie should not be invited to events and the daughters should not be made working royals. I believe there are more scandals to emerge.”

Lownie said he contacted around 3,000 people connected to Charles’ younger brother, and 300 spoke with him for the tell-all.

“They felt it was time to challenge the York family’s carefully curated narrative,” he claimed.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles, stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after his ties to Jeffrey Epstein emerged. Still, Andrew and Fergie continue to appear at private royal events, which Lownie believes is a ticking time bomb for the monarchy.

Despite the warning, Charles is believed to be “eager to celebrate Princess Beatrice” with a special gift, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold via Gloucestershire Live.

“King Charles and Queen Camilla remain close to both Beatrice and Eugenie. Beatrice is well-liked within the royal family and often steps in to help,” Harrold noted, emphasising that the oldest York daughter is “valued” by the Firm.
