Prince Andrew no longer enjoys the royal support he once did during Queen Elizabeth's reign.
While the late monarch reportedly covered many of her son's personal expenses and allowed him to remain at Royal Lodge, King Charles has taken a firmer stance-cutting financial ties, refusing to pay for Andrew's lifestyle, and even pushing to have him removed from the Windsor residence.
According to a new and explosive biography titled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks by Andrew Lownie, tensions between Prince William and Prince Andrew have been brewing for years.
The book attributes this strained relationship to Andrew's hedonistic lifestyle, controversial friendships, and secretive money-making ventures,' and even his inappropriate remarks about Princess Kate which itself is a mystery.
The biography further alleges that William has made efforts to remove Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson from Royal Lodge, a 30-room residence in Windsor-due to Andrew's failure to properly maintain the property.
King Charles is also said to have been eager to evict his sibling from Royal Lodge for several years. However, Andrew has reportedly refused to leave.
Despite being formally removed from royal duties, the Duke allegedly continued to incur shocking expenses while living at Royal Lodge.
The biography claims that the late Queen Elizabeth covered many of these costs, including one particularly unusual expense-a spiritual advisor. The author writes that an Indian yogi stayed with Andrew at Royal Lodge, and an annual £32,000 bill for the yogi's services was initially paid by the Queen, reported The Mirror.
The book claims: 'It was impossible for the King to evict him.'
However, by 2024, King Charles withdrew all financial support and insisted that Andrew cover his own security expenses and other personal costs.
