Jessica Simpson lost something precious during her decade-long marriage with Eric Johnson which she has finally regained now.

A source exclusively told Us Weekly that the Take My Breath Away crooner who had a ‘painful’ marriage has finally found a ‘new sense of confidence and is coming back into her own."

The insider shared that the 45-year-old has been ‘doing well’ since the two have parted ways.

"She's a different person since she's been out of the relationship," the source added.

Reportedly, the I Think I’m In Love With You hitmaker faced ‘trust and communication issues’ that ‘just got bigger’ with time.

The unpleasant relationship was ‘holding her down’ making her marriage with Johnson quite an unhappy one.

It was Jessica Simpson Collection designer who realized that the Price of Beauty alum was apparently ‘holding the marriage together’ for the sake of her kids whom she shared with her ex-husband.

However, with the pair finally parting ways, Simpson has got the newfound freedom, independence and confidence which is liberating and life-changing for her.

For the unversed, Simpson and Johnson got engaged in November 2010 after six months of dating. The two welcomed three kids: Maxwell in 2012, Ace in 2013 and Birdie in 2019.
