Cancer-hit King Charles to become first royal in space
King Charles set to make history with bold move despite health woes
King Charles might become the first royal in the world to embark on a difficult journey despite fighting cancer.
According to a British astronaut, Tim Peake, the monarch's space journey could be "made possible" as he also showed great interest in making space useful for Earth.
Tim met the King earlier this year, and the two discussed how to protect the space environment.
The Mail's Richard Eden shared the rare insight that a significant conversation took place between King Charles and the astronaut, claiming that Prince William and Prince Harry's father could be the "first royal to take flight into space".
The royal expert shared Tim's chat with Charles, who said, "We had a meeting earlier this year in Hampton Court about how we can protect the space environment."
Tim believes space is the next frontier for the King. He added, "I'm sure if he would like to go, it could be made possible."
"The King's passionate about space and realises we need to grasp this opportunity, to start using space, a wonderful environment, to benefit here (Earth)," he further shared.
The comments related to King Charles' possible future journey to space came amid his cancer treatment, which Buckingham Palace announced in February 2024. King Charles set to make history with bold move despite health woes
