Stephen Colbert reveals his future plan after Late Show cancelation
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert final show will be in May 2026
Stephen Colbert has decided what he is going to do now that the long-running CBS’ Late Show With Stephen Colbert has been cancelled.
Around two weeks back, the fans were given the sad news with many people including Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon coming in to support the 61-year-old.
However, now that the decision has been taken, Colbert adding his signature humour to the whole situation is searching for new ventures he could delve into.
While having conversation with his guests Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers on July 28 episode, he asked them about podcasting.
Jokingly, the American comedian revealed that he is flirting with the idea of entering the new field.
"I'm going to need a gig soon," he quipped while talking to the hosts of the famed podcasts Las Culturistas, "so sell me on podcasting. Is it fun?"
Taking the cue, the guests also continued the discussion in a light-hearted manner, hinting that Colbert could even beat them on the Time magazine’s list of the 100 best podcasts of all time.
Rogers replied, "You have to know we were probably 100 on that list. So, you start one, we're getting bumped. Like almost certainly."
He even revealed the formula to ace in his podcast venture, "Just be yourself."
For the unversed, while there has been support for the political commentator, he has also been mocked by the US President who called out the talk show host for lack of talent.
