Kate Middleton loses right-hand woman amid 'rollercoaster' cancer journey
The Prince and Princess of Wales trusted staffer Natasha Archer steps down after 15 years
Princess Kate has bid farewell to her close and trusted personal assistant and friend, Natasha Archer, after 15 years.
People magazine reported on July 9 that Archer — known fondly as “Tash” — has officially stepped down from her role as the Princess of Wales’ senior private executive assistant to launch her own consultancy.
While details of the venture remain under wraps, the royal household has reportedly wished her well on the exciting next chapter.
Tash joined the royal fold in 2010 as a PA and quickly became a key member of Kate’s inner circle. Over the years, she’s been credited as the quiet force behind the Princess’s fashion evolution to a fashion icon. She helped build the now-iconic “Kate Middleton Effect,” contributing an estimated $1.27 billion annually to the U.K. economy.
But Tash’s support extended far beyond fashion. She was there for some of Princess Catherine’s most personal moments too, including arriving at the hospital ahead of Prince George’s birth in 2013.
She has also remained by Kate’s side as she underwent chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer last year — a journey that Kate recently described as a “rollercoaster” as she spoke to cancer patients at Colchester Hospital last week.
