Prince William, Kate Middleton mark glitzy State Banquet with new statement
Kensington Palace release stunning highlights from ‘wonderful’ French State Banquet
Prince William and Kate Middleton were dressed to the nines as they arrived at the glitzy State Banquet for France.
After welcoming the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte on Monday, the royal couple joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for the exquisite State Banquet held at the Windsor Castle.
The Prince of Wales was a vision in her dark red silk creponne Givenchy evening gown as she picked her favourite headpiece – the Lover’s Knot tiara. She also wore late Queen Elizabeth’s Greville Chandelier diamond earrings, and carried a lily of the valley embroidered evening clutch.
Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales was dressed in his morning suits embellished with his military honours and badges.
Kensington Palace on Tuesday released stunning portraits of the royal couple and shared highlights from the whole State Visit, exhibiting its full-pomp.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a statement to mark the important State Visit.
“From discussions on our shared future to moments of reflection on historic ties, it was an honour to help strengthen the enduring partnership between France and the UK alongside Their Majesties and Président @emmanuelmacron today,” they said in the message.
This is the first State Banquet that the future Queen has attended since her cancer battle last year. The last one that Kate appeared for was in November 2023, in honour of the South Korean president.
