Princess Kate’s look tips hat to Royals icons during Macron visit

Princess Kate brought modern twist as she welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, stepping out in a refined outfit that paid tribute to fashion history and royal legacy.

For the occasion, the Princess of Wales wore a stunning Christian Dior jacket—the 30 Montaigne Rose Des Vents Bar Jacket from the 2024 collection crafted by Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. 

A modern reimagining of Christian Dior’s iconic 1947 Bar Jacket, the piece blended vintage flair with contemporary sophistication, perfectly capturing Kate’s polished royal style.

Topping off the look was a chic hat by Jess Collett, while her accessories added sentimental weight. 

She wore a pair of elegant earrings once owned by Princess Diana and a delicate pearl necklace from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s collection, quiet tributes woven into her fashion statement, honouring two beloved royals during this high profile State Visit.

At precisely 11:00 a.m., the King’s Colour Squadron of the Royal Air Force stood ready with a Carpet Lining Party on the airport apron at RAF Northolt, awaiting the arrival of French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.

Upon touchdown, the French Ambassador warmly greeted the presidential couple at the foot of the aircraft steps. 

Shortly after, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined President and Mrs. Macron as they departed by road towards Datchet Road.

Later this afternoon, Kate and William will take lead alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla for the formal ceremonial welcome at the Royal Dais in Windsor. 

The royal couple’s role will continue as they join the monarchs and the French dignitaries in a grand carriage procession through the streets of Windsor.
