King Charles is softly launching Sarah Ferguson back to the royal fold after sidelining Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

From Royal Ascot to Wimbledon appearance, the Duchess of York was given royal protocol by the monarch as a gesture of support.

At Berkshire racecourse, the King greeted Sarah by placing a kiss on her hand, a clear message that he might upgrade Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's mother's royal role.

Royal expert Ephraim Hardcastle wrote in The Daily Mail that the King's latest moves showcased he wants to "rehabilitate" Sarah's "public persona."

He believes that the Duchess of York's "grin from Wimbledon's Royal Box...confirms her continued rehabilitation under King Charles. It follows Fergie's two appearances alongside the King at Royal Ascot."

"She was also offered a seat in the carriage procession down the course - another privilege denied her since her 1996 divorce. However, she declined - apparently to spare the feelings of her ex-husband," the royal commentator added.

It is important to note that the Yorks, especially Sarah and her daughters, are said to have a bright future in the royal family as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's estrangement from King Charles and Prince William keeps growing.
