King Charles showcased to the world how important Prince William and Princess Kate are for the royal family with a major decision.
The Prince and Princess of Wales assigned a key task at the upcoming visit of France's President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron to the UK.
According to Hello! Magazine, the royal couple will "greet the Presidential couple at RAF Northolt as they arrive, and travel with them to Windsor."
Later on, the King and Queen Camilla will give a formal welcome to the esteemed guests at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road, Windsor.
A "royal salute is fired in the Home Park in Windsor, and at the Tower of London."
The French political figure and his wife will later join the senior royals in a carriage procession at Windsor Castle.
King Charles and Emmanuel will also inspect the Guard of Honour at the castle's quadrangle, whereas Queen Camilla, the Princess of Wales and Mrs Macron watched the ceremony.
However, the future Queen's attendance at the state banquet has not been confirmed by Kensington Palace as of yet.
It is important to note that Princess Kate received an honour from the King after she made a surprise visit to Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Essex on July 2.
She opened up about her "rollercoaster" cancer journey, sharing that it is difficult to put on a brave face during treatment.
On the other hand, King Charles giving significant roles to the Waleses is said to be a clear message that the Palace doors "shut" on Prince Harry.
