Buckingham Palace expresses gratitude on special day as Harry sends invite
Royal family releases statement amid Prince Harry reunion plans with King Charles, Prince William
King Charles' office marked the meaningful day in a new statement amid Prince Harry's Invictus invite talks.
On June 28, Buckingham Palace's spokesperson expressed gratitude towards the armed forces and their families for selflessly performing their duties.
The royal family shared a detailed post on their social media channels, featuring the links of senior royal figures with the forces.
The message reads, "Saluting all members of the military this #ArmedForcesDay."
"Thank you for your tireless service, protecting the UK and promoting peace overseas. We are hugely grateful for your efforts, often in the face of danger, and those of your loved ones, providing support at home."
King Charles stated that the sovereigns summoned their troops on the battlefield centuries ago, and today, the royal family honours their sense of duty through patronages, visits, and royal events.
It is pertinent to note that the royals commemorated Armed Forces Day after the Mail revealed that the Duke of Sussex plans to extend Invictus Games Birmingham invitation to his family in a bid to make amends.
