Kensington Palace shared a statement a day after the Princess of Wales quietly attended a meeting at Windsor Castle.
GB News reported that on Wednesday, June 25, the Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed American billionaire philanthropist Melinda French Gates at the castle near their Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor estate.
The meeting marked Kate’s first royal engagement since she sparked concern over her unexpected absence from Royal Ascot nearly two weeks ago.
In the early hours of the following day, Prince William hosted global leaders, philanthropists, and Indigenous representatives at St. James’s Palace for the Nature’s Guardians: On the Road to Cop30 & Beyond event as part of London Climate Action Week.
“Delighted to bring together leaders, Indigenous People’s [sic] and philanthropic institutions ahead of COP30 in Brazil at St James’s Palace today,” read a statement posted to the Wales's official Instagram page.
“Indegenous Peoples and local communities lead the way in protecting nature. Their role is vital and must be supported," the statement continued.
“Today’s discussion was all about turning commitment into action, and making sure Indigenous knowledge and experience shape the road to COP30 and beyond,” William emphasised.
