Kate Middleton, Duchess Sophie take on key role for monarchy in joint mission

Kate Middleton teams up with Duchess of Edinburgh for a crucial mission serving the monarchy as major changes begin at the Palace.

Princess Catherine and Sophie have displayed a close bond when they have made appearances at royal engagements together. However, their relationship goes deeper as the future Queen gives uniquely significant position for the 60-year-old royal.

Prince William and Kate have been quietly preparing for their destined roles as future monarchs. The Prince and Princess of Wales are even “building a trusted team of advisors” to help them with the transition. Now, a royal expert suggested that Sophie will also be playing a major part in this chapter.

“Princess Kate has together with Duchess Sophie crafted a highly unique sisterhood act. This really works,” Dr Arthur Cassidy, Royal Commentator & Celebrity Psychologist told Hello! magazine. “The purpose is in the infusion of both young senior royals personality traits and dynamics.”

She observed that Kate sees Sophie as “her pillar of strength, her mentor guiding her through the public expectations and demands as a working royal and when to say ‘Yes that's ok Kate,' or 'No as the event could have unknown stressors', and to put husband Prince William and children first”.

The expert noted that the royal duo shares something “uniquely significant” in the context of “sisterlike bonding, self-reflection and empathy towards each other”.

As Kate continues to recover from her cancer journey, it is “vital she keeps her family life and lifestyle in complete balance, avoiding stress of any kind”. And given the crucial role that lies ahead, the future Queen needs someone she can confide in, apart from William.

“Their unique bonding is formed by their shared thoughts and experiences not just as senior royals, but as young women who love service,” Cassidy explained.

The remarks come after royal experts shared that there is “more urgency” to prepare William and Kate for the throne after the King’s cancer diagnosis last year. Per a People magazine report, “there are some major shifts coming behind the scenes”.
