Princess Kate sets 'strict' rules for herself after her cancer battle
The Princess of Wales reignited concerns for her health after skipping the Royal Ascot
Kate Middleton is easing back into royal life — but only on her own terms.
According to the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales has become “quite strict” about which public appearances she commits to as she continues her recovery from cancer.
Though she’s gradually stepped back into the spotlight in recent weeks, her surprise absence from Royal Ascot left many royal watchers concerned.
While Kensington Palace later clarified it was an administrative error, the last-minute change still fuelled speculation about her health. Now, insiders say Kate is drawing firmer boundaries around her schedule.
“She’s quite strict now at working out what she needs to be at and what she doesn’t,” a source said, adding that the mom-of-three remains deeply involved in her projects behind the scenes.
“She is very hands-on with the team in the office… That’s a lifelong commitment for HRH.”
Princess Catherine’s return to royal duties has been gradual but deliberate.
In the week leading up to Ascot, she appeared at Trooping the Colour, Garter Day, and a V&A exhibition opening.
