King Charles engages in delightful meeting with the Clooneys during Palace event
King Charles rolled out the royal welcome at Buckingham Palace this afternoon, honouring the remarkable winners of The King’s Trust Awards 2025.
The monarch hosted the inspiring reception alongside a glittering guest list of charity ambassadors, including Hollywood power couple George and Amal Clooney and beloved British actress Dame Joanna Lumley.
The trio joined the King in recognising the achievements of this year’s award recipients, who were celebrated across eleven categories spanning enterprise, education, community impact, and sustainability.
Held at the sovereign’s official London residence, the reception served as a powerful prelude to tonight’s main awards ceremony and also marked a major milestone for The King’s Trust International, which is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
His Majesty personally met with recipients from across eight UK award categories, including Enterprise, Education, Breakthrough, Young Change Maker, Young Achiever, Community Impact, Rising Star, and Volunteer of the Year.
Each honouree shared a story of resilience, ambition, and transformation.
The event also shone a spotlight on three outstanding global winners, honoured with the Global Young Achiever Award, the Amal Clooney Woman's Empowerment Award, and the Global Sustainability Award
In a fitting finale, the King marked the 10th anniversary of The King’s Trust International by cutting a celebratory cake.
