Prince William, Kate Middleton face criticism over 'out of touch' move
The Prince and Princess of Wales urged to follow King Charles, Queen Camilla's footsteps
Prince William and Princess Kate received backlash after the future King's 43rd birthday celebration.
For the unversed, on June 21, Kate Middleton posted an adorable photo of her husband on social media to mark his special day.
In the picture, William was seen spending some time with the Waleses' dog Orla and her cute little puppies.
The Princess of Wales wrote, "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!"
According to GB, Peta’s Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen said, "The Prince and Princess of Wales should know that shelters here and worldwide are overflowing with puppies desperate for a second chance at a loving home, and that churning out a litter in the midst of this animal homelessness crisis is staggeringly out of touch."
She added, "If William is going to lead, he might well take a lesson from King Charles and Queen Camilla, who have chosen to adopt from a shelter rather than contribute to the problem."
It is important to note that Queen Camilla recently adopted a puppy Moley after the passing of her beloved fur companion Beth.
