Prince William and Kate Middleton finally settle debate amid Palace concerns about monarchy future
Prince William and Kate Middleton finally have come to conclusion about a crucial debate about their eldest son, Prince George.
Discussions were happening since the past two years about which school the future king will be attending as Kate contended for a different option given her personal experiences.
However, the royal family can now breathe a sigh of relief as the initial plan for George remains.
The Prince and Princess of Wales had been looking at a number of schools and the “clear front-runners” had been Eton and rival Marlborough College.
William attended Eton with his brother Prince Harry and Kate went to Marlborough. Reports suggested that the Princess was rooting for her alma mater but it appears that the firm won out at the end.
In a report by DailyMail’s Harriet Kean, sources revealed that there is “smugness” emanating from Eton about a “forthcoming” announcement.
After William and Kate visited Eton, the insider claimed, “It was like, ‘I know something and the people at Eton know something, but I’m not going to tell you’.”
Prince George, who will turn 12 next month, is currently at Lambrook School in Berkshire, along with Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. He is not due to start anywhere new until September 2026.
The decision comes as tensions were brewing in the Palace over the major decision as it was not just about William and Kate’s son, but also the future heir to the throne.
