Prince Harry 'hopeful' as his shot at reconciliation with royal family to finally come through
King Charles is reportedly not on speaking terms with his son, Prince Harry, but he still hopes to have a relationship with him despite the widening rift.
It was revealed that the Duke of Sussex, who is set to return to UK for his much-anticipated Invictus Games in July 2027, has decided to extend a special invite to not only his cancer-stricken father but also his estranged brother, Prince William.
While there has been no form of communication between the royals and Harry, experts believe that the Duke’s final shot at reconciliation may actually land.
Sources revealed that Harry will be inviting the monarch and William to Birmingham for the games.
“The King might attend to show support for the Armed Forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life,” royal author Ingrid Seward told The Daily Mail.
“The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family.”
Meanwhile, royal commentator Katie Nicholl resonated that the monarch “absolutely wants a relationship” with Harry and his two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
However, it is uncertain if Meghan and the children will be travelling with him back to UK, given his fears about security.
The insider noted that Harry is “hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans”.
