Princess of Wales makes quick edit to Prince William's birthday post less than an hour after it goes live
Prince William received a special birthday greeting for his family on Saturday as he turned 43 in private celebration.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photo of the future king cuddling with the four new puppies their family dog, Orla, gave birth to last month. The message signed off by Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
Just less than an hour after the sweet tribute was posted on the official social media, Kensington Palace reshared the post to mention another key detail missed in the earlier Instagram post.
In the original post, the photo credits were not shared, but in the IG Story, it was revealed that the Princess of Wales captured the moment.
Kate, who has dubbed herself as an ‘amateur photographer’, has famously taken plenty of birthday portraits of her children and shared the personal images on special occasion to the delight of the public.
Last year, the Princess found herself in a pickle after her Mother’s Day portrait was issued a kill notice by photo agencies for being “altered at the source”. Kate has issued an apology for the confusion it caused claiming that she was experimenting with the editing.
However, the incident has not deterred her spirit to share personal moments from inside the castle. Although, journalists have revealed that they no longer receive official portraits from Kensington Palace before the release. Instead, the press also gets the update the same time as the public.
