Latest update on Kate Middleton's health and cancer status
Kate Middleton's cancer journey: Latest update on her health amid speculations
Kate Middleton has been making headlines about her health since she suddenly canceled a scheduled appearance at the second day of the Royal Ascot thoroughbred races.
The Princess of Wales' unexpected absence sparked rumours that her cancer had reoccurred amid growing medical concerns.
Plenty of speculation has been making the social media rounds about Kate's health ever since missed the event, even though the future Queen recently completed her treatment for cancer.
Some were fearing and wondering if perhaps Kate’s cancer had returned or is she was still suffering from the impact of the disease.
Now, Kate quashed the rumours as she released a lovely statement about Children’s Hospice Week, saying: “No parent expects to hear that their child has a serious health condition that could shorten their life.”
She added: ”Lifting spirits through laughter, fun and play, as well as listening, holding, caring and sharing, they support children and families through life, death and beyond.”
Children’s Hospice Week is the United Kingdom’s annual awareness week for children’s hospices and palliative care services. It goes from June 16 through June 22, coinciding with the Royal Ascot festivities.
“This Children’s Hospice Week, I hope you will join me in celebrating the life changing work they do and thanking them for the vital care they provide to children and families experiencing the most challenging times,” Middleton’s statement concluded.
A Palace source has also confirmed: ”Princess Kate is doing well while taking care of her health.”
”She is gradually returning to royal duties while giving time to the projects close to her heart,” said the source.
Princess Kate was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January 2024. The type of cancer wasn't disclosed. She underwent chemotherapy and completed her treatment in September 2024.
Now, she's been focusing on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and following her doctors' guidance as her cancer is in remission. She's gradually returning to royal duties, prioritising her health and avoiding overexertion.
